Chicken Thai Basil Stir Fry - Super Easy

I love Thai basil so much. I love it in salads, soups, fried rice and in stir fries! This recipe is another easy one for after work dinners! You can definitely whip this up in 15 minutes, including prep! Just make sure to have some rice handy to soak up the sauce-y goodness. You can substitute with any kind of protein: ground pork, ground turkey/chicken, beef and even tofu - you get the point.

Ingredients: (For 2 people)
1lb of chicken (I used thighs) - in bite sizes pieces
2 cups of thai basil - only the leaves --- must be thai basil, found at any Asian store
2 cloves of garlic - minced
2 thai chili peppers (I used many, many more :))
2 tablespoons of oyster sauce
1 tablespoon of brown sugar
1 tablespoon of dark soy sauce

So colorful!!

With a table of vegetable oil, stir fry your minced garlic until fragrant and translucent. Should only be a 2-3 minutes.

Once the garlic is releasing all of its major deliciousness, add in your protein and cook thoroughly.

For chicken or pork, please make sure to cook all the way through. Double check if you need too! Add in the soy sauce, oyster sauce and brown sugar. Adjust to taste.

Once the protein is coated and the sauce has reduced a bit, add in the basil and chili peppers (always optional). Cook for about 2 minutes, just till the basil leaves have wilted.

Serve on rice, quinoa, bed of vegetables. The platform of your choice!

Enjoy!
